So time does fly when you're having fun! It's been a minute since I've written an update about what's going down in the world of DC, so here's the skinny...

I recently began working more permanently with an awesome Rochester cover band called "
Polluted Moon". For those who have never seen or heard Polluted Moon, they play covers from Dave Matthews Band, Nickelback, Zac Brown Band, ZZ Top, Gavin DeGraw, Maroon 5 & so much more! The band plays very tight and the live show is incredibly entertaining and very spontaneous. A must see for sure! The next show I have with them is at Finns Inn located in Marion NY on Saturday 2/11 from 10-2am! Hope to see some people out there!
My other cover group, "
The Brunt" has been going through some struggles with finding a bass player, however; that has been finally put to rest! We have brought in my long time friend and former band member (from several other projects) Eric Neu (a.k.a. E-Rock)! I'm extremely excited to be jamming with Eric again. He's an all around solid, in the pocket bassist and an entertaining dude on stage! Additionally he already knew our set with back up harmonies included, so it was a no brainer for us! This band does all modern rock covers with a few originals scattered throughout the set. The band plays music by The Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stoneage, Muse, Weezer and a bunch more! We are booking shows now, so there will be show dates coming soon! Stay tuned!

I was also recently asked to sit in and rock with a Creed tribute group called "Weathered". I thought it was a pretty cool opportunity since I grew up listening to them and also playing drums to their album "My Own Prison." We are playing at Waterstreet Music Hall on 2/18 on the main stage at 9:30. Local cover band 50/50 will be closing the show with their Journey set. Doors are at 9:00pm and ladies get in free, so if you're not a fan of Journey or Creed but are a fan of the ladies, get out to Waterstreet because there will be plenty of them!
Last but not least, me and my good friend/band mate/guitar player extraordinaire (from The Brunt),
Matt Quistorf teamed up and began writing a studio collaboration album! All original music in the realm of the "rock" genre! If you haven't seen Matt play I highly recommend coming to a "Brunt" show, or checking out
Scattered Ink, which is another studio album project he collaborated on! He is an absolutely phenomenal musician! Words can not describe his talent, and I'm truly honored to be able to put my name on a record with him! As far as the album goes, in addition to writing and recording all of the drum tracks, I'm going to be writing some lyrics and Matt is being cool enough to let me sneak in some guitar parts! As of right now there is no planned date for when we will be releasing it as we are still in the process of writing the music, however; when we get close to completion, we will definitely be making announcements of some sort and throwing a CD release party, so stay tuned for that!
That's all I've got for now, but will be blogging some more announcements in the near future! Until then keep rawkin' and thanks for reading!
